Pine Peaks Event Center Wedding / Kelsi + Owen

Kelsi and Owen met many years ago when Kelsi worked at Perkins.  Owen’s friend worked there as well, so he had a great excuse to stop in and be served by the cute waitress (aka Kelsi).   Owen proposed this past January while they were vacationing in Hawaii.   He scheduled a private horseback session on beach in North Shore, but the weather was never right so they kept having to cancel.  Finally, on their last day, the sun was out and the rain held back so he could finally pop the question.  They joke about their timing being off, but all things aligned for their in July for their Pine Peaks Event Center wedding in Northern Minnesota.

It was a hot and sunny Saturday afternoon, but the bridal party and family kept cool in the house.  Kelsi and Owen decided to wait to see each other for the first time down the aisle, so the girls hung out upstairs while the guys played pool in the basement.

Guests arrived for the ceremony took their seats facing the white archway which was dripping with flowers. Owen walked both mother’s down the aisle then stood by the arch to await his beautiful bride.  Owen’s eyes lit up when he saw his Kelsi and her father walk toward him.  Kelsi’s father gave her away, and Owen and her grabbed hands for the first time that day.

Their ceremony started with a few readings, then Owen and Kelsi shared their own vows.  They watered a tree together, gave their parent’s roses, then shared a kiss to make it official.  They walked down the aisle, hand in hand, as their guests threw confetti.

Their families gathered for photos, then the bridal party boarded a tractor, driven by a friend of Kelsi, for a joy ride around the corn field.  The bridal enjoyed the sunshine while party sipping cold beers.  We jumped out a few times for photos, but when we went to turn around, we got stuck, and had to unload the tractor.

Luckily, Kelsi’s bridesmaids were on it, and they called for friends to come with their cars to pick everyone up.  It was hilarious, memorable, and gave Kelsi and Owen a moment to sneak away and hang out in the cornfield.

Everyone made their way back inside for the grand march and a delicious Italian dinner.  Family members shared toasts, Kelsi’s mom put together an adorable slideshow of the couple and their past, and the dancing kicked off shortly after.

Kelsi and Owen- your wedding day was so fun!  From start to end, there were plenty laughs and magical moments.  Thank you for choosing me to be apart of your special day.  You two are amazing, and I know your life will be filled with love and happiness!
